So, what is Mojo Vision?
Mojo Vision is the leading developer of Mojo Lens, the world’s first AR smart contact lens with a built-in display. It comes with a built in gyroscope and accelerometer to stabilise the imagery based on eye movement.
It projects an “additional info” display in front of your eyes. Like this one:

Lenses ideally go on both eyes. Plus, the pair of lenses work even when the eyes are closed. The team is making it to be usable all day, put them in the cleaner-charger at night and ready to be used the next day.
The lenses provide the vision correction for people with vision problems and the circuitry provides the interface. Take a look at their prototype development over the years:

They are currently going after athletes. Some use cases:
A footballer might wear them to have a timer in front of it. Interesting part is, it won’t display in front of you always, rather you have to turn your eyes at a locked area to access info.
If you are a cyclist, you don’t have to look at the screen at your shoulder or mounted phone on handle and focus on the road.
Mojo Vision is another medical instrument company, so it has to pass all the bars any company has to go through. They only use materials which are currently understood by material scientists and will only proceed after approval from the FDA.

CURRENT SCENARIO
Development of Mojo Lens came up with technical problems, which they themselves had to create a solution for. In the process, the team had to build a dense display due to the form-factor of the lens.
The display itself is an innovation in itself. The display has pp to 28,000 Pixels Per Inch. Their main focus now is to make High Performance Micro-LED Displays. Although, the development of the lens isn’t stopped (sure will take longer now).
